Songs from the Archives

After recording "Vreme ispred nas", Prkos Drumski was preparing a new album but eventually never walked into the studio. Instead, in one night, the band recorded about thirty rough sketches and live versions of the songs for this album. "Jesenje lišće" was the first set of archival songs from the session. Here's another one...

...Nemir sveta has one of the most beautiful album covers I've ever seen with a striking photo of pregnant band member, Dragana Zubac. The album is dubbed an "authorised live bootleg" and features tracks from the single recording session that also produced the 2010 album Jesenje lišće ****. Like that album it features fragments of recordings and band chatter between songs with glimpses into the band's creative processes. Some of the arrangements are bare and minimal but naked beauty is sometimes the most beautiful and some of these performances are as good as anything the band has produced.
It's not as there are any obvious gaps in the band's development to fill. This is the creative process that eventually led to the release of the album Alhemija ***** but the fact that the band recorded enough music for two albums in just the one night shows how incredibly creative they are. Band leader Miloš Zubac is the opposite of a dragon sitting on a treasure unwilling to share a single gold coin. He is a man who understands the importance of legacy, and if he is in a possession of treasure he is going to share it.
